How does a property auction work?
We will enter your property into a unique auction cycle with a fixed end date. Together, we agree on an attractive Starting Bid to market your property and an undisclosed Reserve Price. Once agreed, marketing of your property begins immediately via our Online Bidding Platform and all leading property portals.

This price is set lower than your reserve price to generate as much interest as possible. - Reserve Price
A minimum price you are seeking to achieve. Your property is not sold for anything less than this amount – unless under your express permission. Only you and the Auction Department are aware of what the Reserve Price is. - Auction Date
Your property will sell for the highest bid at auction end, but only if the offer meets or exceeds your preagreed Reserve Price. - Viewings
We encourage interested parties to view the Video Tour of your property in the first instance, where possible, to maximise the number of potential viewers to your property. We’ll only arrange a physical viewing for proceedable buyers, to eliminate time-wasting. - Legal Pack
Our legal team partners will produce a legal pack at no upfront cost allowing buyers to carry out their due care and diligence before placing an offer. The legal pack allows all parties to facilitate an exchange of contracts as soon as there is an acceptable offer. - Commercial Property

Unfortunately, the landlord did not match their honesty. We ended up letting a property through them with a particularly dodgy landlord to no fault of their own, as this person was extremely fake, inconsistent, and manipulative. So much so that she fooled us a few times during the beginning of the tenancy, promising to sort serious draught problems while never having the intention to do so, as we were directly told by her own handymen and friend. Then kept on lying on emails about it.
Votta consistently helped us get through the landlord attempting to take white goods out of the house after we’d had our offer, inclusive of white goods, accepted; warned us and advised us against the landlord attempts to move the deposit funds out of the deposit scheme (in fact, at the end of the tenancy this landlord tried to keep money under false claims and direct defiance of the check out inventory); helped us with the handover of keys when the landlord was being difficult about it; and finally advised us when she tried to get extra rent out of us, in spite of both parties agreeing on the end of tenancy and us having moved out of the property almost a month before she brought that up.
This is all while they’d ended their business with this landlord. At every turn Votta were on our side and provided great advice. They really helped us through a tough and stressful time. Thank you David, Jade and Courtney. It is refreshing to see an agency that actually cares about tenants and not just landlords.
We really appreciated his patience and attention to detail, and we felt well looked after as a family. It was a pleasure working with him, and we’re very happy in our new home.

Stephen was incredible, he was so helpful and considerate, he eased any anxiety we had being first time renters! To break it down:
There was an electrical fire caused by a leak.
The boiler broke down about a week into living at the property.
A radiator burst.
The shower didn't have hot water for months.
The shower leaked and destroyed the wall below.
The paintwork done prior to moving in left paint droplets everywhere.
It took them over a week to find alternative accommodation for us after the fire.
They promised us they would pay for a cattery for our cats post fire and then went back on this.
Anyway the owner of Votta pathetically asked me to change my review to five stars and post this review...
Yeah his head is very far up his rear end.
"My family and I moved into our house in Dover earlier this year and we were plagued with issues. This property had never been rented before and since moving in there were numerous repairs that cropped up. Despite the issues we had we could not fault the team at Votta, from the moment Stephen showed us the property through to move in, especially Samantha who went above and beyond to not only respond to every email and phone call within a timely manner but when a fire broke out in the house she was on hand to contact the landlord and contractors to arrange repairs as soon as possible and not only that, helped us get the accommodation for my family and my pets. This is something no agent is contracted to do for tenants but they did it not only on our behalf but the behalf of the landlord who wasn’t responsive enough by our standards. We admit there were occasions where we were so frustrated by the situation and Samantha took the brunt of that but maintained professionalism at all times despite the anxiety we undoubtedly caused her, however she put us above any other tenant or landlord on their books and selflessly spent hours on the phone to the insurance company, landlords, contractors and our temporary accommodation. There was nothing more we could have asked of Samantha in a time that was incredibly stressful for everyone.”
We were aware that he had started his own agency, so when we needed a letting agent we went straight to Votta Sales and Lettings. They provide a first class service, explaining how they will market the property , their fees and vetting processes. They move fast, getting the property marketed with stunning photos and full description. They quickly found the perfect tenants for our properties. The inventory they provide is extensive leaving no doubt as to the condition of the property when the tenants take possession. Paul arranged for photos to be taken quickly after our initial meeting and a few days later we had sold our house. Paul was extremely flexible when it came to arranging phone calls and visits to the property - as we both work late we thought we would have to restrict everything to weekends but Paul made everything fit with our work schedules during the week. Nothing seemed like too much trouble.

When we viewed our property we loved it straight away but could also tell we were in good hands with finally an honest and professional estate agent. You can’t even compare other local big name estate agents to the experience you have with Votta.
